Walk To Beat
Walk to Beat is a walking aid with an innovative handle which provides a constant rhythm that can only be felt by the person holding the handle. The adjustable vibration acts as a cueing method to freezing and gait abnormalities in Parkinson's patients, which affects one in every 500 people.
The device has received support from Bristol Robotics Laboratory, UWE and School for Social Entrepreneurs, amongst others. Walk to Beat is currently looking to develop further products, such as a wristband, and adding data monitoring, to help Doctor's better treat Parkinson's.
