Disberse - Blockchain-based Aid Distribution

Founded in 2016, Disberse is a fund management platform that aims to bring a whole new level of transparency and efficiency to the distribution of international development and humanitarian aid.

The Cardiff-based Fintech gives donors, governments and NGO’s the opportunity to trace their funds from end to end through the use of blockchain technology. It enables users to see how many intermediaries the money went to, how it was spent, and even the impact it has had. The platform also prevents the loss of money through bank fees, exchange rates and other charges.

CEO and co-founder Ben Joakim says the company aims to be “the leading fund management platform for the international development sector”, and to promote a shift in fund distribution control from the donors to the beneficiaries.
