‘Disrupt South West’ is a new event series that will bring South West startups, corporates and investors under one roof, to explore and celebrate innovation taking place locally.

Underpinning the series will be the curation of a South West ‘Disrupter’ Index, a 25-strong venture list highlighting success and growth stories across the South West - the first of which will be revealed during the event. To curate the DisruptSW Index, companies in the South West region were analysed against three essential ingredients fundamental to success: People, Product and Potential.

As one of the UK’s leading tech clusters, renowned for its collaborative approach to achieving great things, the event series provides an opportunity for South West Disrupters and those associated to showcase, educate, share and connect with like-minded industry professionals.



Thursday, November 16th, starting at 5:30pm

The evening kicked off with drinks, canapés and product demos followed by a keynote speech from Matt Connolly, CEO of Tällt Ventures, about disruption globally and on a South West scale, introducing and unveiling the 'Top 25 Disrupt SW Businesses'. This was followed by several Lightning Talks from respected South West Disrupters, each sharing key aspects of their story to date, centred around the People, Product and Potential of their business. 

To close we brought together panel representatives from some of the South West’s best known Disrupters, alongside the MD of TechSPARK to discuss our region’s People, Products and Potential, how we attract and retain talent and businesses to the region and continue to raise the South West profile… closing with some more drinks.
